unfortunately for us the sunshine was short lived. we have now been in mexico for seven days and have had one glorious day. from what we have been told, the wet season never ended in august, as per usual - which is a big fat bummer for us. the towns are still cute as a button, the food is still as tasty - but the ocean is certainly less inviting and the notion of venturing out is a little confronting.
we are now in tulum and i was crossing my fingers and toes hoping that being two hours south of isla holbox, it would somehow miraculously be bright and beach worthy. much to my disappointment, it was the same with a little less wind. so i am going to post a few pictures of the one sunny day we had in the hope it may make your day a little sunnier.
